Warehouse, Logistics and Equipment Technician
EM&I are recruiting for a full time Warehouse, Logistics and Equipment Technician to be based at our facility near Naxxar in Malta. Applicants must be based in Malta.

Role
The Warehouse, Logistics and Equipment Technician is responsible for the preparation, inspection, assembly support, and shipment of equipment and materials to local, offshore, and international clients worldwide. The role involves coordinating global cargo shipments by air, sea, and road, and combines warehouse and logistics management with hands-on technical support to ensure equipment is inspected, assembled, tested, documented, and delivered in a safe, compliant, and operationally ready condition.

Key Responsibilities
Stores & Inventory Management
• Carry out incoming equipment inspections and record condition, completeness, and any non-conformities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
• Prepare equipment for mobilisation, ensuring all devices are available and serviced.
• Coordinate equipment returns, inspections, calibration and re-stocking.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage practices.
Logistics & Shipping
• Prepare and coordinate shipments for local, offshore and international clients (air, sea, and road).
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and couriers.
• Prepare shipping documentation including packing lists, commercial invoices, and certification.
• Ensure compliance with customs, export controls, and client requirements.
Operational Support
• Work closely with operations and project managers to meet mobilisation schedules.
• Support offshore mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
Technical Support & Equipment Preparation
• Prepare and support assembly lines for equipment builds.
• Support Technical Development and Operations departments with equipment assembly, testing, and configuration.
• Prepare equipment for transportation, ensuring it has been function tested, clean, protected, and correctly packed.
Health, Safety & Quality
• Follow SHEQ policies and safe working practices at all times.
• Apply correct manual handling, lifting, storage and packing practices.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas meet safety and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
Essential
• Experience in stores, logistics, warehouse, or technical support roles.
• Hands-on experience utilising power tools, inspecting, assembling, and preparing technical equipment.
• Good workmanship, strong attention to detail and documentation organisation.
• Ability to work without supervision, under time pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable
• Basic mechanical and electrical works experience.
• Understanding of international shipping and customs procedures
Academic Competencies
• Supply chain management and logistics or minimum of 5 years experience.
• MQF level 2 Diploma in foundations of electronics, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.
• Competent in MS Office , Google and inventory management systems.
• Good written and spoken English.
