Location: Malta, Aberdeen, Wilmslow, Perth Australia or Berlin



EM&I is a global asset integrity, maintenance and repair service provider to the Oil, Gas and Energy Industries. We have over 30 years’ experience and an impressive safety record. We are currently going through a period of growth as a result of acquisition and as such, require a Director of HR to support our expansion activities.

Our Mission is to be the best Integrity Services provider to the Energy Industry. We endeavor to ensure our organisation is competitive, innovative, forward thinking and rewarding for clients, staff and shareholders.


To deliver international strategic, subject matter expertise and transactional HR services to the EM&I Group (the “Group”) in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policy and recognised best practice in a cost-effective manner.

Experience Competencies

  • Experience leading the strategic direction of an international HR service for a global service organisation (experience in oil and gas is desirable though not essential)
  • Proven ability providing strategic direction to senior managers and coaching line managers on a wide variety of HR matters
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to present appropriate information at board level
  • Effective leadership of a small HR Team with a ‘sleeves rolled-up’ approach
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and expertise to a wide variety of international HR laws and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced level of organisational and planning skills with experience travelling and working on an international basis
  • Focus on quality with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

Academic Competencies

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level preferably in an HR related discipline
  • Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD) Level 7 or equivalent
